Community is at the heart of my campaign and I believe that prioritizing communities is the most efficient way to foster responsible growth. I’ve listened as our neighbors have been vocal about what they want and I’ve watched officials favor rapid development over the needs of those who have called this place home for years. I see the erasure of marginalized communities in favor of profit, and to me displacement is NOT a sound economic development tool, it is a crutch.
As your County Commissioner, I will do things differently. I’m not backed by special interests. I’m here to represent you, because this campaign isn’t about me, it’s about our community. I believe in open doors and open dialogue, being accessible, and serving as an extension of your voice. We need growth, but we need it to benefit the people who paid to make it happen.
As Chattanooga continues to grow and new proposals come forward in District 4, I will ensure decisions are shaped by the people most impacted, balancing thoughtful development with the needs of everyday Chattanoogans. By putting community first and embracing the power of collective action, we can build a more resilient, equitable, and beautiful Chattanooga—together.
A core component of my platform is a promise to ensure community-minded growth. We’ve watched neighbors get priced out of their homes while empty lots sit undeveloped, and I’m tired of Hamilton County rewarding faceless greed instead of real investment in our community.
It’s time to grow District 4 based on the needs of the people who live here—the ones who’ve worked hard for their homes, remodeled them, opened businesses, planted gardens, and built lives side by side. We are capable of stopping unchecked development from erasing our history, diversity, and progress, and of protecting the people who are already here while ensuring new future generations can afford to call this beautiful area home.
In District 4, you’re only a whisper away from your neighbor, and I believe that closeness is our strength. Together, we are capable of making sure our community comes before developer interests.
Our city will experience its strongest, most community-minded growth when we commit to equitable education for all neighbors, because education fosters empathy, which builds a tightly knit community. Every child—regardless of country of origin (all people living in Chattanooga pay property taxes that fund education), background, beliefs, neighborhood, or family income—deserves access to a robust, high-quality education.
As someone who grew up in public Chattanooga schools, I know firsthand the life-changing impact that dedicated teachers can have, yet many of our educators are underpaid and forced to take on extra work to make ends meet. If we truly value our children and their future—as business leaders, organizers, and public servants—we must ensure their schools are safe, comfortable, well-funded, and staffed by fairly compensated educators.
The solution is not raising taxes, especially as District 4 families already face rising costs, but prioritizing educator salaries and school funding with the tax dollars we already collect and ensuring public funds are directed only to public schools.
By investing wisely, we can improve facilities, expand mental health support, retain excellent teachers, attract top talent, and show our children that they are valued and capable—because when a community invests in its children, it invests in its future.
