Hello, District 4! I am Elea Wright, an artist, small business owner, lifelong Chattanoogan, and proud resident of Ridgedale. I imagine a world that is the best it can be and then I work to make it real.

While I grew up in Red Bank, most of my life has been centered around District 4. I went to school at CSAS from 3rd grade to graduation, then attended UTC before later transferring to UTK, where I received a Bachelors of Arts in Graphic Design.

I own a cosmetics and color analysis studio with my mom, where we have recently settled into our permanent location in Ridgedale. This also happens to be my neighborhood, so it makes it a convenient commute!

I have lived in Ridgedale since 2017, in the house I lovingly call my “die house” because I have zero desire to ever move. I love my neighbors and the strong sense of community we have fostered.

I have never had political ambitions, but have always been active in politics and civic engagement. I enjoy learning and living quietly in my home with my partner and dogs. I am very grateful to be where I am in life and I want everyone to have the same opportunities that I did growing up.

I believe in reducing wicked problems to normal problems through critical questions, creative thinking, and willingness to do things differently. I advocate for strong neighborhoods in order to create proactive political systems.

I believe that to create thriving communities, we must make our government more transparent and prioritize education, public health, and public works. If we create beautiful, safe communities, we retain a population that is more invested in what makes Chattanooga the best place to live, work, and relax.

I believe Chattanooga is rich in the character of people who live here.
